Moore provides a timely reminder about temptation and self-deception: Almost every adultery situation I’ve ever seen includes a cheating spouse who honestly believes that he or she is not going to get caught. A pacifist college bans the national anthem from sporting events. “The Goshen College Board of Directors announced today that it has asked President James E. The June 2011 issue of Christianity Today includes an interesting article, “The Search for the Historical Adam,” that examines contemporary evangelical views on the historicity of Adam and Eve from scientific and theological perspectives. Michael Potemra provides a glowing review to Rejoice and Shout, a documentary about the African-American tradition of Gospel music. I love the Andraé Crouch quote that Potemra opens the review with: “If we really heard the voice of God, we would be reduced to juice. The vibration of His voice would reduce us to liquid. . . . Joe Carter writes, “There are three groups of people who consistently have a detrimental affect [sic] on American politics: Republicans, Democrats, and pollsters.” The post has nothing to do with religion, but you can’t beat its opening line. Perhaps the problem is pols or pollsters, however, but the polled.
