I had originally planned to resume writing The Daily Word today, but after a long time of reflection–and a week off for the holidays–I have decided that it is time for me to bid farewell to TDW.
I have been writing The Daily Word for almost this entire decade. I have enjoyed the experience of daily, detailed interaction with Scripture. But, to be perfectly honest, I’m more than bit burned out.
Thank you for all your kind, encouraging words over the years! I hope TDW has been useful to you.
May God bless you richly today–and everyday!

Every thing in life has its season. I’ve enjoyed your religious “train of thought” for many years. While I am too far away to attend your church services, I would be interested in listening in to your sermons. Sea Coast Grace Church places Doyle’s sermons on the internet. If your church does the same, I could at least get a weekly dose of the “best of George Wood” in that way.
Thanks for all the good words for so many years.
Thank you for starting my mornings with me for the last five years.
I’ll miss your blog. I hope you will consider returning with “The Weekly Word.”
I wondered where all these book reviews came from! This really is a great resource though, sort of like a George P Wood commentary series. I’ll check it against my William Barclay 🙂
