   That was a great article. Very eye-opening and a definite must read. It definitely speaks to those nagging doubts I have had about much of what goes on in the name of “Evangelicals.”

   Beth Moore’s Bible study, The Patriarchs, came out in 2005. In one of the lessons, she criticized the lyrics of Friend of God, citing John 15:14: “You are my friends if you do what I command.”

   I agreed with some of Michael Linton’s points, but not with his apparent indignation about “Falwell’s politically motivated insult to Senator Clinton (demeaningly calling her by her first name) . . . .” If Linton thinks that is insulting, he should check out the official Hillary for President website (“Hillary Speaks Out,” “Host your own Hillary event,” “New Poll: Hillary Up,” etc.). Also, I would take Alexandra Pelosi’s professed admiration for Evangelicals with a grain of salt. She wanted to portray herself as an objective person, and she wanted people to watch her HBO documentary. I understand that while promoting her documentary, she said that Evangelicals call HBO “Hell’s Box Office.” Maybe some do, but I’ve never heard anyone say that before.
